Johnny Depp presented Director Tim Burton career Golden Lion award, Wednesday at the Venice Film Festival. "It's a very big honor to present Tim with this award," Depp said. "He is my favorite director and a very close friend." After Quentin Tarantin had to call offf his visit to the Italian event due to a back sore, Depp and Burton captivated all the attention. A very pleased Burton talked about how much he appreciated the prize, "I am charmed by this award, which will serve as an inspiration for me forever," Burton said. Depp has worked under Burton’s direction in many mvies such as "Edward Scissorhands," "Ed Wood", "Sleepy Hollow" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" ; and he plays the leading role in a forthcoming musical thriller "Sweeney Todd.
